Our summer placements and industrial placements can offer you an excellent way to further your understanding of a career in construction before you complete your academic studies. Joining our team on one of these placements will give your career a head start and may result in a full time position with us when you graduate.
We can offer summer placements in the following business areas:
During a civil engineering placement, students will join one of our project delivery teams at one of our sites throughout the UK and will gain invaluable hands on experience of project delivery including setting out, using GPS surveying equipment, cost control and following project programmes. Our ability to deliver projects in-house means that you will be exposed to all aspects of civil engineering and not only the management of sub-contractors.
During a finance placement, students will join our finance team and develop their skills with day to day tasks as well as aiding on development projects. Students will work alongside professionally qualified accountants, purchase ledger staff and be expected to liaise with our own project managers and engineers, suppliers and clients to resolve queries and implement action plans.
Our successful past placement students have been offered full time contracts at the end of their academic studies. Many of these have progressed through their professional qualifications with ICE, ACCA and RICS and are progressing through the ranks towards more senior management positions.
